President Buhari set to marry another. [What is and what is not]

A video purportedly showing Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari locked up in a room in Aso Villa after she returned from London on Thursday has been shared and viewed tens of thousand times on the social media.
Since Wednesday, social media has been awash with claims that the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will be getting married to Sadiya Umar Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, because Mrs Buhari has been away for months.

Mrs Buhari left the country early August to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj (Muslim pilgrimage) and has not returned since then.

Several hashtags have been trending on Twitter on the premise of the wedding and the “sudden” return of Mrs Buhari to the country to stop the wedding. #TheWedding, #BUSA19, #AISHA, #Presidentialwedding and several others.

Some other local news platforms have also circulated the wedding claim. They all claimed that a close source at the Presidential Villa disclosed to them that the marriage will take place on Friday, October 11, 2019.

Former Special Assistant on Social Media to the former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri tweeted on Thursday night, saying that the rumour of the second wife is true, although the date of the marriage is not known yet.

“Apparently, the second wife story is true. What cant be confirmed is the date of the wedding fatiha. This man shouldn’t tempt his Creator. He just recovered from serious ill health and now he wants to add another yarinya! Second Term, Second Wife! Baba o! #SecondTermSecondWife”

Is Buhari getting married?
While there are no official statements to authenticate the claims, the supposed new missus, Farouq, is presently in New York promoting a UN campaign against poverty.
More concretely, a presidential spokesman Femi Adesina in a chat with tribune has debunked any marriage claims.

“How will anyone expect that the President will be getting married and it will be a secret affair?” Adesina said.

“Nigerians like to gist and play banters, as it is another way of relaxation for many, and they have seen the president as a personality that suits their side talks. It is bad, but that is what happens.”

Is Aisha back to the country?
The claims that Nigeria’s First Lady is back to the country is false. The video purportedly showing her back to the villa is an old video.
Mrs Buhari’s aide also confirmed to BBC Pidgin that the video is an old video. She said it happened about two years ago. The source, however, disclosed that Mrs Buhari and the president had a little misunderstanding and that might be the reason she is still in London.

Bizarre Fight Scene: Employer & Employee

DOWNLOAD VIDEO HERE

Conflict in the workplace is inevitable: Opposite personalities clash, stress is prevalent, perceptions of situations vary, and viewpoints differ all of which contribute to tension and disagreement. Knowing how to manage these situations effectively is key to keeping productivity and morale high.
Avoiding conflict or mismanaging it comes at a high cost to organizations. According to one report, employees in the United States spend 2.8 hours per week on workplace conflict, resulting in $359 billion in lost time.
“Unfortunately, employees and managers tend to avoid conflict because they either don’t want to deal with it or they aren’t properly trained to do so,” says Adrienne Isakovic, a lecturer for Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication program. “Their instinct is to default to the human resources department even though they shouldn’t. It’s an avoidance mechanism.”
Avoiding conflict ultimately results in chaos. Human beings are emotional creatures with trigger points and biases that have developed through various experiences. Allowing these filtering mechanisms to dominate when conflicts arise is a recipe for disaster.
“That’s when you get chaos,” Isakovic says. “Office politics come into play, you have accusations of unequal treatment, and biases can run rampant. You need to have processes and mechanisms in place that can be used to take the emotions out of equations so you can seek out the fundamental issue and what you can do to address it.”
While it’s HR’s responsibility to share and train managers on effective conflict-resolution strategies, it’s not their responsibility to resolve all workplace issues, Isakovic adds. Instead, HR should encourage managers to work through conflicts with their employees on their own, and only involve HR when absolutely necessary.
“HR shouldn’t be involved in every conflict because then they become the police station at the company—and that’s not their role,” she says.
Here are five strategies to help managers effectively resolve conflicts with employees.

1) Detach from Your Biases

One essential quality that all managers need to develop is a strong sense of self-awareness. Managers need to acknowledge their own biases, trigger points, and preconceptions, otherwise it’s difficult to rise above them to identify what the actual problem is.
“If managers can’t adequately describe themselves and how they see the world, they won’t be able to enact strategies to see the other perspectives,” Isakovic says. “Managers can’t truly assess a situation without detaching from their biases. Having that self-awareness is critical.”
This also means being aware of how you react, both physically and emotionally, to situations involving conflict. According to the National Institutes of Health, the most common responses to approaching conflict include:
  • Avoidance: When someone recognizes conflict in a situation and decides to disengage from the problem
  • Accommodation: Also referred to as yielding, it occurs when a conflict is resolved, but an individual’s needs aren’t met. If an individual is consistently accommodating, resentment may affect the relationship.
  • Compromise: When two parties of equal power agree to a resolution
  • Collaboration: Working with others to find a solution in which everyone has their needs met
Avoiding a conflict, for example, might be effective when the issue is minor, but it isn’t prudent when a major conflict arises. Each response has a place, but you need to understand your reactions in the context of which method is most effective.

2) Actively Listen

When a conflict arises, managers need to block out urges to formulate their responses and simply listen instead.
“It’s something we’re all guilty of in emotionally charged situations: As the other person is talking, we’re already preparing what we’re going to say in response,” Isakovic says. “You need to actively listen, and even if it takes you 30 seconds after they have finished talking to respond, that’s fine.”
You should be actively listening from a place of empathy, too, she adds. While you don’t necessarily need to agree with the employee, you need to put yourself in their shoes and acknowledge that they have a different perspective than you.
To improve your active listening, avoid distractions in your office like checking your email on your computer, peeking at your smartphone, or fiddling with papers on your desk. Be aware of your body language; avoid folding your arms or glancing at the clock. Ask questions to make sure you’re understanding what they’re saying, and repeat their message back to them to ensure you’re both on the same page.

3) Practice Empathy

Empathy refers to a person’s ability to understand feelings through verbal and nonverbal messages, provide emotional support to people when needed, and understand the links between others’ emotions and behaviors.
According to the Society for Human Resource Management, showing empathy toward your employees is key to establishing a trusting relationship. It’s also a leadership skill that most managers struggle with: Only 40 percent demonstrate empathy effectively, SHRM says.
During an employee-manager conflict, it’s important for managers to acknowledge the employee’s feelings and understand where they’re coming from, Isakovic says.

Prayer for Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria is a country in West Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. It hasa diverse topography, with arid savanna, rainforest, mountains, mangrove swamps, and the wide delta of the Niger River.

Nigeria became independent from Britain in 1960 and is now divided into 30 states to accelerate development and to minimize the impact of ethnic loyalties on national politics.Ethnicityis a sensitive issue, as Nigeria has 426 ethnic groups.

The economy is oil driven a wealthy nation but mismanagement abounds leading to abject poverty. God is about to change all this! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Let us pray that:-

God will remove every Ahab that is in authority. Every ungodly rulers and those that do not stand up for righteousness and integrity.

That the doors will open into every home that does not know the Lord for the penetration of the Gospel.

God will bless and protect all the believers from every attack of the enemy in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Let us pray Isaiah 54:17 that “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

For a complete end to the cycle of religious violence. Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end and our expectation shall not be cut off”

Pray for peace.  Ask the Almighty God to comfort, heal and provide for those who have lost loved ones and /or properties and businesses during the religious and tribal violence.

Pray against all hidden agendas, and that any attempts to deliberately orchestrate violence between the religious communities of Nigeria would come to nothing. Pray that every evil counsel that is in existence be destroyed. (Job 5:12-14).

Pray for wisdom in the utilization of the nations resources especially the oil. Let us pray that every corruption, injustice and wickedness in high places be brought down and totally destroyed in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God declares in Proverbs 11:1  “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”

Pray for mercy for the weak, the poor and the orphans who cry for help because our Lord is the Help of the helpless. Psalms 68:5  “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.”

Begin to declare

A destruction of all false alters and speak an establishment of the Alter of the Almighty God, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

A blessing over the Land. From the east to the west, from the north to the south proclaim a blessing.

A destruction to every prince of the air ruling over that region in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

That the True Light will shine to all that are still in darkness in that region in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Healing over the economy, restoration of agriculture, and godly leadership

Remember to cover yourself, your family, your loved ones, your ministry, and your work, with the blood of Jesus. Ask God to be your rear-guard as you battle in intercession. Also pray for all other Believers that are praying for the different nations and ask God to strengthen them and grant them success.

Jeremiah 32:27  Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

What We Never Knew About The Amazon Rainforest - Earth’s Lungs

The Amazon rainforest, known as The Planet’s Lungs is primarily embodied within Brazil with 60% of rainforest. It comprises the largest rainforest in the world with 16,000 species of individual trees. The Amazon Rainforest produces 20% of the Oxygen.

Latest Updates
At the beginning of this month, Brazil declared a state of emergency due to the high rate of wildfire at the Amazon which is dangerous for health of all species, especially the human health. This year, almost 73,000 fires have been discovered by Brazil’s space research center (INPE) which makes 83% increase from 2018 and the highest number of fire recorded since 2013, according to Reuters.

The Amazon Rainforest (Earth's Lungs) Battling Deforestation -  (Skitek Media)

The Amazon Rainforest is wet and humid, the forest experiences fire during the dry season from July to October which maybe caused naturally or by human, such as Lighting strikes, deforestation and burning. This fire expels large quantity of smoke and carbon which spread across the Amazon region and beyond and can be seen from the space. The smoke moves far as the Atlantic coast and caused darken skies in Sao Paulo.

This disaster kept on occurring due to deforestation which is used as the human settlement and Grazing by the Farmers, Ranchers and loggers. Christian Poirier a program director of the nonprofit Amazon Watch spoke with CNN, “Fire is often used to clear out the land for farming or Ranching. For that reason, a vast majority of the fires can be attributed to human.” The fire has been releasing a great amount of Carbon dioxide which would lead to Carbon dioxide intoxication or Carbon dioxide poisoning to the human breathing air. The Fire also emit carbon Monoxide, a gas released when wood is burned which replaces the oxygen in the red blood cells of the human body, leading to serious tissue damage or even death.

The Amazon Rainforest on Fire - Earth's Lungs on Fire (Battling Deforestation) - Skitekmedia

The carbon stored is released into the atmosphere and the rainforest’s capacity to absorb carbon emission is reduced, due to deforestation or burning. Wikipedia stated that in 2018, about 17% of the Amazon Rainforest was already destroyed.

According to the World Wide Fund For Nature, Climate change and deforestation increases the drying effect of dead trees that fuels forest fires.

The effects of damage to the Amazon is not a threat to Brazil and its neighbors but to Planet Earth. The rainforest generates more than 20% of the world’s Oxygen and 10% of the world’s Biodiversity. The climate is regulated by the Amazon and if the rainforest should disappear, the world would suffer a change drastically.

Ever wondered what Shiites is? And why they keep clashing with soldiers and police officers? Here is your answer.

There have been several incidents and stories about shiites and soldiers, police officers on television and socially media, buy most people don't know who or the reason for this clash. Here's your answer to your unending questions.

First, Who are the Shiites, what do they want from the Nigerian government and why have they been described as violent by some sections of the society?

This explainer piece will answer some of the questions you’ve been asking about all the Shiite stories you have read this week.

Who are The Shiites?

Shia Shiah or Shi’ah is a branch of Islam that is remarkably different from the Islam you are used to or the one you grew up knowing.

Adherents of the Shia kind of Islam are called Shiasof Ali,Shias or Shi’a. Individually, they are called Shi’I or Shi’ite.

For easy understanding, we will refer to them as Shiites or IMNs in this piece.

What do the Shiites believe in?

It’s important to state that the origin of Shia Islam is a subject of dispute among Islamic scholars.

Depending on who is doing the story telling, Shia Islam originated from Morocco, Syria, Iraq or somewhere in India.

There are millions of Shiite devotees around the world and about 3 million Shiites in Nigeria.

Modern day Shiites draw their inspiration from Iran.

For the purpose of this discussion, let’s divide Islam into two—Shia Islam and Sunni Islam.

The predominant variant of Islam practised in northern Nigeria is Sunni.

However, while Sunnis believe that Muhammad is the prophet sent by Allah, the Shiites believe that someone else called Ali, is Allah’s true messenger.

The Shiites believe that the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor .

Shia Islam is the second largest branch of Islam. Shia Muslims constitute about 30 percent of the world’s Muslim population.

What do Shiites want in Nigeria?

The Shiites in Nigeria want the country declared an Islamic Republic.

Led by Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the Shiites have been clamouring for an Islamic Republic in Nigeria since the ‘70s.

El-Zakzaky often travels to Iran to sort of touch base with what can now be regarded as the Shia headquarters of the world.

65-year-old El-Zakzaky is a native of Zaria, Kaduna State. He was so impressed with the 1979 Iranian Revolution that he travelled to Iran to become a Shia cleric.

El-Zakzaky imported the second largest branch of Islam into Nigeria, racking up an impressive amount of followers in the 1990s in a country that's dominated by Sunni Muslims.

El-Zakzaky is intent on the application of a more rigorous hue of Islamic legal and administrative system in Nigeria. He is also keen on ultimately turning Nigeria into a fully Islamic state.

Who is El-Zakzaky?

El-Zakzaky never attended a formal primary school. His early education took place at the Provincial Arabic School, Zaria (1969-1970) and the School for Arabic Studies, Kano (1971-1976).

El-Zakzaky obtained a first class degree in Economics at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria (1976-1979). However, that degree was denied him because of his extremist Islamic views and activities.

For most of his life, El-Zakzaky has remained an Islamic scholar and activist.

Why do soldiers and police officers often attack Shiite members?

The Shiites often embark on a procession called Arbaeen.

The Arbaeen procession or walk is held globally by all Shiites.

Arbaeen is a Shia Muslim religious observance that occurs forty days after the Day of Ashura.

Ashura is the 10th day of the first month of the Islamic calendar.

According to security forces, whenever Shiites in Nigeria embark on the Arbaeen walk in major cities across the country, they get violent, obstruct free flow of traffic and attack anyone who stands in their way.

Shiites and police officers have clashed in Kano, Kaduna, Zamfara and elsewhere in northern Nigeria.

El-Zakzaky was twice jailed by late Military President General Sani Abacha for his extremist, inciting and uncompromising Islamic stance. El-Zakzaky famously declared that "there is no government except that of Islam" during Abacha's regime.

During a pro-Palestinian procession by the IMN in Zaria on July 25, 2014, soldiers fatally shot 35 of El-Zakzaky's followers to death. Three of them: Mahmud, Ahmad, and Hamid, were Zakzaky’s sons. In total, six of Zakzaky's sons have been reportedly killed by soldiers.

Shiites and law enforcement also frequently clash in Abuja and northern Nigerian States. In 2015, Shiites clashed with soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The military claimed that the Shiites attacked the convoy in which Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, was traveling.

Shiite places of worship and homes were destroyed by soldiers afterwards and El-Zakzaky was arrested and jailed by the military.

And this week alone, 42 Shiites have reportedly been killed by police and soldiers. The Shiites have become increasingly violent as they demand Zakzaky's release.

El-Zakzaky is still in jail

In December of 2016, Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court, ordered El-Zakzaky’s release, but the Nigerian state ignored that judicial directive.

After rumours made the rounds that El-Zakzaky and his wife may have been killed in military custody, the Shiite leader was finally allowed a public appearance in January of 2018and arraigned in May.

El-Zakzaky is currently facing trial for charges bordering on unlawful gathering, criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.

He is still in detention and hasn't been granted bail. There are reports that El-Zakzaky has gone blind in one eye following his continued detention. Zakzaky was spotting a neck brace during his first public appearance since 2015

Myth: Super Eagles And Deep Green Jersey

Skitek Media takes a look at the noise about the Super Eagles jerseys at the just concluded African Cup of Nation in Egypt.

As the Super Eagles stepped out of the dressing room in deep green jerseys, football fans at the viewing centre hissed to show their discontent with the uniform.

“Ooooh, this Jersey always bring badluck. We cannot even see the players, too dark. See Algeria players as they fill the pitch with their white Jerseys”, the fans grumbled.

@samsaxofficial: "This Jersey has always been unlucky"

@BashirAk_: "Stop using that stupid unlucky jersey"

@FINALIZER1: "Super eagles why this unlucky jersey na??????"

@Dammybas: "*COUGHS* stupid unlucky jersey"

@daphy657: "Stop wearing this useless green jersey ..its an Unlucky jersey !"

@dirtyboyjameso : "STOP WEARING THAT DAMN UNLUCKY JERSEY"

@enitan16: "We just had to wear that unlucky jersey #AFCON #AFCON2019"

@JayMarionCarter: "Can we now burn this unlucky Jersey ? I need to have peace of mind #IStillBleed9ja"

@Fejer50: "Guys, we have lost already with this jersey"

@DrIdongesit: "Who agrees with me that this Jersey carries bad luck.."

@Finestteebee: "Super eagles should never use this bad luck jersey again! # ALGNGA"

Those were the reactions of Nigerian football fans before the referee blew the whistle to start the game against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

What does Jersey need to do with good and quality football game, I asked rhetorically but in less than 10 minutes of my nostalgia, Algeria had scored against Nigeria and were pressing further to double the lead.

Most Nigerians prefer the fashionable Eagle like Jersey that many now refer to as “Aso Ebi’.
The Nike Super Eagles shirt was a sellout towards the 2018 World Cup. It was one of the best–designed jerseys at the Russia 2018, even though Nigeria could not qualify for the second round of the tournament.

Every Nigerian loves the Jersey but detests the second deep green not only because of the design but due to the so-called bad luck that follows it.

Recall that Nigeria lost to Madagascar 0-2 in the just concluded African Cup of Nation wearing the deep green Jersey.

The team also lost to Algeria 1-2 in the semi–final wearing the deep green shirt.

The team lost to Croatia at the World Cup wearing the deep green shirt but defeated Iceland while wearing the “Aso Ebi'”.

The noise about the deep green jersey became a topic as Nigeria were losing to Algeria.
I could remember that Nigerian football fans detested white Jersey in the past for the same reason that it brought badluck.

I could also remember that nobody ever thought of which Jersey was good or bad in the glorious 1994 golden era that paraded the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Finidi George and Peter Rufai.

I could remember that there was a time the Super Eagles players had to cut their tracksuits to play a match because their handlers forgot to bring the Jerseys to the field.

That day, Nigeria beat Ethiopia by 6-1 wearing the tracksuits as jerseys. So it sounds ridiculous to attribute the poor performance of a team to theJersey the players put on.

As a matter of fact, Nigeria beat Libya, Egypt and Poland in all the friendlies they played with these countries, wearing the deep green shirt.

While I see it so illogical to attribute poor performance to a poor jersey, there is a need for Nigeria Football Federation to take a second look at the deep green shirt.
Of course, it is not the reason why the Super Eagles failed to qualify for AFCON final but the design does not represent Nigeria colour.

The country’s National Flag is light Green and white not deep green and white.

Skipper John Obi Mikel and Striker Odion Jude Ighalo Retire from international football.

Nigeria stars Odion Ighalo and John Obi Mikel are retiring from international football.

Super Eagles forward Odion Jude Ighalo has ended his run with the National team, shortly after Skipper John Mikel Obi made his retirement official, SkiTek top sources have confirmed.

"He had discussed his decision with the coach before the third-place match, saying that the constant abuse was taking a toll on his young family, but he was advised to keep it under wraps for the moment," the sources told SkiTek.

He came under huge criticisms when Nigeria were eliminated from the 2018 World Cup after missing a glaring chance against Argentina which could have given the Super Eagles a 2-1 lead.

"After the game against the Carthage Eagles in the third-place match, he gave his jersey as a souvenir to the coach, said his goodbyes and left."

Prior to the game, the 30-year-old posted a message on his WhatsApp status update that simply said "Final Game".

"He has been very strong for us," Rohr.

"And it is sad that he wants not to continue.

"But the door always is open for him any time."

He made his Super Eagles debut under the tutelage of Daniel Amokachi in 2015 and later played his first competition with the senior team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He made 35 appearances for Nigeria, scoring 16 goals.
He was also top scorer through the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with four goals, and he could also finish the tournament as top scorer having scored four in Egypt.

Meanwhile, Nigeria captain Mikel, 32, announced his international retirement on his Instagram page, ending his senior international career in the same country where he made his senior debut in the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations.

"Egypt is a country where I've started and have finished my National career," Mikel posted on Instagram.

"In 2006 I played my first official championship for my Country. 2019 African Cup of Nations marks my last championship for National Team with Super Eagles.

"My national career started in 2003 under 17 World Cup and I'm grateful for the national team for placing me on the world arena and giving me an opportunity to show my skill and have an incredible National and International career.

"At the age of 32 it's time for me to retire from the National team and let the youth take over, who've done an amazing job securing a bronze medal at AFCON 2019.

"Thank you to all my Nigerian supporters and to my Country for all the trust, support and love you've shown me over the past 15 years.

"Mikel am out!"

Nigeria also won bronze at that 2006 tournament, with Mikel notching one goal and one assist.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr praised the midfielder for his service, saying the midfielder had enjoyed a "big career" with the Super Eagles.

"We have really to be proud to have players like this in Nigeria," Rohr.

"He's one of the legends now.

"He did well again in this Afcon.

"I invited to help the team; he helped the team not only on the pitch but also outside. He accepted to be on the bench, to be replaced.
"He's an example for all our young players, with his professionalism, his approach to the competition, his serious attitude all the time.

"We will miss him.

"I'm happy that he could part in this Afcon, to finish his wonderful career with a bronze medal.

"He gave all the best for his country. He's an example for all football players in Nigeria."

Mikel made 88 appearances for Nigeria, scoring six goals and played at five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, two World Cups and one Olympic Games.

He was Nations Cup champion in 2013, and won an Olympic bronze medal with Nigeria in 2016.

Trailing reactions of Nigerians on the call for the immediate ban of BBNaija by MURIC

The statement which was released today by the director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola deacribed the show as crude, anti-social and immoral and should be ban. This call have caused a lot of reactions from Nigerians on social media.
See reactions:

The statement reads; “We are being forcibly dragged to a world of nudity, shamelessness and open promiscuity. Inmates of BBNaija kiss, romance and engage in sex openly. BBNaija is Bohemian, anti-social, crude and immoral. It constitutes a potent danger to every home. BBNaija is Satanic. It is unacceptable. “Where are our norms and values? Is it part of African culture to engage in sex in the open? Where are the authorities? Is the Ministry of Information and Culture sleeping? Is the National Orientation Agency on sabbatical? Who will protect our children from this despicable onslaught? Who did this to Nigeria? “This reality show is dragging our children into a life of moral debauchery. It is robbing them of the last vestiges of honour. It is deleting the word ‘shame’ from their vocabulary.

BB Naija has alienated our youth from the elders. A yawning lacuna now exists between the young and the old. Irreversible social crisis looms. “We must see those who woo our young ones with humongous amounts of money, big cars and palatial buildings as those bent on destroying industry, diligence and integrity particularly among the youth. Nothing destroys a nation faster than materialism. The daughters of Jezebel are here already.
Unless the authorities move with the speed of lightning, human dignity in Nigeria is going, going, going! “Or do we not realize that for every single BB Naija inmate who wins big amount of money and a car, more than 50 million young people are misled? Qur’an 30:41 says, ‘Evil has appeared on both land and sea as a result of the handiworks of men…’ The Bible in Ephesians 4:19 was also describing these people when it says, ‘Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.’

“Already, the desperate quest for wealth by all means has gripped Nigerian youth like hay fever. It has railroaded them into Yahoo Yahoo, ritual killings and a museum mentality for the collection of female panties. Where exactly are we going? “This development calls for serious concern and we are deeply concerned because we are the Muslim Rights Concern. Our hearts bleed in MURIC.

This is the kind of evil that Muslim and Christian leaders should unite to fight with all their strength instead of dissipating their energy on a phantom Islamisation, a mirage called Fulanisation, Maradonic religiousity and gymnastic spirituality. “We can put an end to this anomaly called BB Naija if Christians and Muslims bury the hatchet and come together to fight evil. Home is home. Moral debauchery knows no religion. The destructive influence of television shows like BB Naija penetrates both Christian and Muslim homes. “Ditto for the custodians of our culture and tradition. Our traditional rulers ignore a program like this which has all the potentials to diminish the dignity of our culture. They are fighting over who should be chairman of the Council of traditional rulers. They want to be the King of kings and rivals of the Supreme Creator. Who placed a curse on Nigeria? “Homo sapiens may not respect a single snake when they see one. But can anyone wait to see what follows if the cobra leads and it is faithfully followed by the python, the black mamba, rattle snake, garter snake and the anaconda? So what do you think will happen if our traditional rulers from the East, West and North march on Aso Rock to demand the immediate halt of this horrible show? “To cap the edifice, MURIC calls for immediate and total ban on this satanic television show.

We charge the Ministry of Information and Culture to move swiftly against BB Naija before moral debauchery becomes Nigeria’s middle name. Nigerian youth must be protected from themselves and the time to do so is now. We invite the National Assembly to intervene immediately and we appeal to traditional rulers to add their voices to this campaign.”

AFCON 2019: Accurate Prediction: Rohr; Nigeria vs Algeria

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, had predicted a semi-final meeting with Algeria, even before a ball was kicked Thursday evening.

And in his opinion, the Desert Foxes are the best team at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria beat South Africa 2-1 to qualify for the last four, while the North Africans saw off Ivory Coast yesterday.

“At first we have to recover well because it was not easy, we avoided extra time. We don’t have any injuries.

“No suspension, no injury. We have to watch the game of Algeria, for the moment they are perhaps the best team in the tournament, so it will be a very big challenge to beat Algeria,” Rohr told reporters.

The game will be played on Sunday, July 14 at the Cairo International Stadium.

AFCON: Panic in South Africa by South Africa-based Nigerians after Eagles win

(Nigerian Squad) 2019 Africa Cup of Nations quarter final football match between Nigeria and South Africa at Cairo international stadium.
There was panic among Nigerians living in South Africa on Wednesday and Thursday after the Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

After the recent murder of the Deputy Director-General of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Elizabeth Ndubusi-Chukwu, in South Africa, it is reported that the number of Nigerians killed in South Africa in three and half years has risen to 127.

The Nigerians, who spoke to our correspondent on the telephone, said they were scared and many of them refused to celebrate the Eagles’ win publicly to avoid being attacked.

Few hours after the match, a Nigerian identified simply as Lekan, specifically warned his countrymen not to go to O.R. Tambo or Motherwell, where a Nigerian, identified as Emeka, was killed last Thursday.

On a WhatsApp group consisting of Nigerians in South Africa, he wrote, “Nobody should go to O.R Tambo or Motherwell after such lousy showing from our team.”

A Nigerian who resides in South Africa, Michael, said many of them could not go to commercial viewing centres and bars to watch the match as a result of fear.

Another Nigerian, who studies in the country, Oke, said, “We were told to avoid wearing the Nigerian jersey until after a week the match was played.”

When contacted, the President of Nigeria Union, South Africa, Mr Adetola Olubajo, said though there may be panic, no casualty was recorded.

He said, “There is no fresh killing or attack over the AFCON match. Definitely, when there is such match there is always panic. But we have not heard of any casualty from the match for now.”

Some of the Nigerians, however, dedicated the victory to those killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Okwuruha said, “Fair play to Bafana Bafana, but this win is for the Nigerians killed in xenophobic attacks in South Africa. We will always remember them.”

As a Man, If she tells you these 5 things, you should be very worried

Men, if a babe tells you these 5 things, you should be very worried

Don't just take them as cute, harmless things women say. Ask for clarification.

To date anyone, you would have gone through the early days of just talking and feeling up each others beliefs and learning what their values are.

As a guy, it is at this stage that you sample the babe’s thoughts, see if she’s more than a pretty face and abundant curves, and you also get to listen to what she has to say about issues that are fundamental to your decision to initiate a relationship with her or walk away.

When you are at this and talking stage, it is both important to watch what she does and to listen well to what she says. You don’t want to miss the hints and regret the relationship later when you could have avoided it all.

If she ever says any of these things, you may want to ask for clarification and be ready to run away as fast as you can if the answers don’t add up.

Here we go:

1. "I can be crazy sometimes"

You want someone sane. Someone mature enough to have a grasp and a lid on their emotions, so if she says she can be crazy sometimes, you really have to be careful and not just take it with a pinch of salt.

When people say they can be crazy sometimes, it is often a pointer to, and a glorification of anger issues and other toxic behaviours they don’t want to admit they have. And who says the ‘craziness’ she speaks of will only be ‘sometimes’?

One of the ways to deal with this is to find out if there have been previous relationships and how they ended.

It is not your duty to handle or deal with any woman. If that is what she is looking for, chances are she is toxic and unwilling to change.

2. "I need a man that can handle me"

If she says this, you really need to ask for a clarification. What exactly does she need to be handled for? Is it an , or some unconventional sexual craving you may not be comfortable with?

Does she want you to handle her over-possessiveness, bossiness, stubbornness, overbearing behaviour, jealousy, or some other thing?

Man, you have to ask for clarification on these things and not get carried away with the cuteness with which she says them.

3. "I have so much drama"

A drama-free relationship is the best. So when she comes with this line, my good man, let the alarm bells in your head go off, and don’t ignore it!

Again ask questions about the type of drama she comes with. If you can’t handle it, and chances are that you won’t be able to, you better run away as fast as you can!

If she scares herself sometimes, you should be scared. [Credit - Capital FM]

4. "I scare myself sometimes"

Even the sound of this should put some fear into you!

If she scares herself with the kind of impressive work ethic she has, or some other great thing she intensely devotes herself to, this may not be bad afterall.

However, if it’s something negative about herself she’s referring to, baba, you should be scared, too!

5. "Even my parents fear me"

You want to be with a woman who has people she’s accountable to, and parents are one of such people.

If she’s saying her parents fear her, it means they can’t call her to order when she’s mad. And this should reeeaaaaally worry you.

It’s worse if her friends too are incapable of calling her to order when she’s out of line or pissed off.

WHY DO I NEED A BUSINESS PLAN?

WHY DO I NEED A BUSINESS PLAN - by Anthony Samuel - SKITEKMEDIA

Recently someone asked me why they needed a business plan if they were getting all the funding they needed from friends and relatives. It sounded to me as if they were thinking of a business plan as just a fund-raising tool. In fact, a business plan is much more than that: It's a tool for understanding how your business is put together. You can use it to monitor progress, hold yourself accountable and control the business's fate. And of course, it's a sales and recruiting tool for courting key employees or future investors.

Writing out your business plan forces you to review everything at once: your value proposition, marketing assumptions, operations plan, financial plan and staffing plan. You'll end up spotting connections you otherwise would have missed. For example, if your marketing plan projects 10,000 customers by year two and your staffing plan provides for two salespeople, that forces you to ask: How can two salespeople generate 10,000 customers? The answer might lead you to conclude that forming partnerships, targeting distributors and concentrating on bulk sales to large companies would be your best tactics.

As part of your operational plan, you'll lay out major marketing and operational milestones. When you're the founder, the only person holding you accountable to those results on a daily basis is you. So your plan becomes a baseline for monitoring your progress. If your prototype was to be complete by February 1, and it gets done early-on January 10, for example-you can ask yourself WHY. Was there an unexpected breakthrough? Did someone put in a heroic effort? Or did you just overestimate? What you learn will help you do an even better job next time.

But even more than a tool for after-the-fact learning, a plan is how you drive the future. When you write, "We expect 100 customers by the end of year one," it's not a passive prediction-you don't just wait for the customers to show up. It becomes your sales force's goal. The plan lays out targets in all major areas: sales, expense items, hiring positions and financing goals. Once laid out, the targets become performance goals.

And of course, a well-written plan is great for attracting talent. When a prospect asks to understand your business, you can hand them a plan that gives them an entire overview. Their reactions tell you something about how quickly and thoroughly they can think through your business's key issues. Plus, the written record of your goals coupled with a track record of delivering against those goals sends a message loud and clear: You understand your business and can deliver the results you promise. Great employees will respond to that message-as will banks and investors the next time you need to raise money.

So viewing your plan as a fund-raising tool is just the beginning of the story. You'll use the plan for so much more-for managing yourself, for operating the business and for recruiting. Before deciding to skip your planning phase, consider all the implications and what they mean for your future success.

BUSINESS PLAN 101, the Nitty-Gritty of Writing a Business Plan

There are many reasons to write a business plan—it’s not solely the domain of entrepreneurs who want to secure funding to start or grow their business.
A business plan can help you clarify your strategy, identify potential roadblocks, decide what you’ll need in the way of resources, and evaluate the viability of your idea or your growth plans before you get started.
Whatever your reason for writing a business plan, the task will probably still feel like a homework assignment. When you’re starting a business, your to-do list is a mile long and filled with more immediately rewarding tasks, like taking product photos, creating ad campaigns, and opening social media accounts.
Not every business launches with a formal business plan, but many founders find value in taking time to step back, research their idea and the market they’re looking to enter, and understand the scope and the strategy behind their tactics.
That's where writing a business plan comes in.
but first of all what is a business plan;
A business plan is a written document describing the nature of the business, the sales and marketing strategy, and the financial background, and containing a projected profit and loss statement. Business plan is also a road map that provides directions so a business can plan its future and helps it avoid bumps in the road. The time you spend making your business plan thorough and accurate, and keeping it up-to-date, is an investment that pays big dividends in the long term.
There are a few key things to keep in mind to help you write an effective business plan.
  • Know your audience. When you know who will be reading your plan—even if you’re just writing it for yourself, to clarify your ideas—you can tailor the language and level of detail to them. This can also help you make sure you’re including the most relevant information and figure out when to omit sections that aren't as impactful.
  • Have a clear goal. You’ll need to put in more work, and deliver a more thorough plan, if your goal is to secure funding for your business versus working through a plan for yourself or even your team.
  • Invest time in research. Sections of your business plan will primarily be informed by your ideas and vision, but some of the most crucial information you’ll need to include relies on research from independent sources. This is where you can invest time in understanding who you’re selling to, whether there’s demand for your products, and who else is selling similar products or services.
  • Keep it short and to the point. No matter who you’re writing for, your business plan should be short and readable—generally, no longer than 15 to 20 pages. If you do have additional documents you think may be valuable to your audience and your goals, consider adding them as appendices.
  • Keep the tone, style, and voice consistent. This is best managed by having a single person write the plan or allowing time for the plan to be properly edited before distributing it.
A business plan can help you identify clear, deliberate next steps for your business, even if you never plan to pitch investors—and it can help you see gaps in your plan before they become issues. Whether you've written a business plan for a new business or for growing your current company, you now have a comprehensive guide and the information you need to help you start working on the next phase of your business.

OBASANJO: I am the Watchman of Nigerian Politics

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described himself as the watchman of Nigerian politics due to the role he now plays in the country’s polity, and urged all Nigerians to engage in participatory democracy in order to vote for credible leaders who are patriotic.

FORMER NIGERIAN PRESIDENT O.B.J
Director of Media and Publicity of the Action Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Pam Ibrahim, quoted Obasanjo as saying this while addressing the presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Yabagi Sani, who visited him in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Obasanjo was said to have described as undemocratic, the attitude of some politicians who heat up the polity by undermining and denigrating other Nigerians through thuggery and harassment of innocent citizens.

Describing his role in Nigerian politics as a “watchman who is expected to be vigilant and raise the alarm whenever it is necessary”, the former president added that Nigeria is on a journey that has three phases.

He expressed the hope that ADP, as an emerging political force, will key into this journey to nationhood and provide good leadership, in view of the calibre of its members, especially as Nigerians are yearning for responsible leadership.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and presidential candidate of the ADP, Sani, informed the former president that his decision to run for the number one office in the country was borne out of the fact that Nigerians are frustrated with a directionless leadership, where hopelessness and insecurity have become the order of the day.

“We are in a country where the security of citizens is no longer guaranteed, giving the crime rate we experience on a daily basis, especially insurgency, armed robbery and kidnappings across the country”, he said.

Sani, who extolled the leadership virtues of the former president appealed to him not to relent in providing useful contribution that would lead to rekindling the hopes of Nigerians for a better future.
