A New rule has been Strictly Set for students in IMO STATE UNIVERSITY AND OTHER TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS on the required criterias to be met before being eligible for Uploading of name for the compulsory NYSC scheme and Approval of Name for Graduation on Senate Approved List

THE RULE STATES THAT;

1. Any student who does not have the New Jamb Admission Letter Which comes with a scannable Barcode and watermark on it, is considered as a fake student and as such, be treated as one.

2. Any Student whose name is not on the Jamb Matriculation List but has a genuine admission will be denied the opportunity to get enrolled for the one year compulsory NYSC Scheme upon graduation until the problem is resolved on the matriculation list.

3. Any Student who did an inter/Intra Institution/Department transfer should ensure He/She Regularize it with Jamb to enable the new department be updated on the Jamb Matriculation list.

4. Every JAMB Regulization Form after being processed MUST go through the office of the Vice Chancellor for necessary documentation and approval else will be considered null and void.

5. Any Student caught parading with Fake documents including school receipts, statement of results, Transcripts and certificates will be rudely dealt with.

This takes effect from June 1, 2019.

Failure to process the Jamb Regularization Form by those who were offered Faculty Admission or who did transfer from their previous department to their present department or from another institution to their present institution before June 1st 2019 will stop them from being enrolled for NYSC as they will not be shortlisted on the University's Senate Approved List during their graduating set. This new rule has been implemented but will be in full action from June 1st 2019.
